I am a wife, mother to three grown daughters, and Nana to five grandchildren. I live in Afton, VA, where life revolves around family!
My journey with aromatherapy and holistic health began after I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Because I found essential oils to be so helpful, I wanted to learn all I could about them, including why they worked. I began studying and learning all I could, which eventually led to me to Aromahead Institute and studying to become a Certified Aromatherapist. I completed the Advanced Graduate Studies Program through Aromahead Institute and am a Professional Member of NAHA (National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy), and AIA (Alliance of International Aromatherapists). My certification includes a focus on botany, essential oil chemistry, blending and formulating products, and the therapeutic use of essential oils. Through the years, I have completed numerous educational courses in the field of aromatherapy and believe the learning never ends!
I am qualified to work with clients to create individualized products for their specific needs and help them experience how essential oils and plant-derived products can support their health and improve their physical and emotional well-being.
I am the owner of Natural Necessities, where I offer aromatherapy personal care products, consultations, and workshops. At Natural Necessities, my goal is to provide quality, handcrafted, and affordable, aromatherapy products with personalized service. I use pure, essential oils and botanical extracts with therapeutic properties that work to improve physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Natural Necessities products are available on my website at NaturalNecessities.net, at special events, and in a number of retail businesses, both locally and in other states.
To help others understand the proper way of using essential oils, I began doing workshops to educate consumers. I really enjoy sharing with others the beautiful healing modality of aromatherapy and what a difference it can make in their daily life. I have also had articles featured in AromaCulture Magazine.
I am also the Virginia state representative for the Alliance of International Aromatherapists, to further work with those interested in aromatherapy.
