Brandon Cunningham is a local Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a heavy interest in alternative medicine, such as massage therapy, herbalism, physical activity and nutrition. He earned a BSN in 2010 and an MSN from James Madison University in 2015. Brandon’s interest in medicine was sparked early in his college years after his grandmother encouraged him to take an anatomy and physiology class. His wife Katie, a Massage Therapist, taught him the medicinal art of massage. His grandparents also triggered another interest in gardening. Experiencing the healing powers of plant medicine led to attending Sacred Plant Traditions, an herbal school. Brandon has completed the Foundations of Herbalism and is enrolled to complete subsequent clinical course. Recently, he has been certified as a Personal Trainer and Nutritional Coach from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. The blend of modern and alternative medicine has fueled the idea and model behind Bridging Health Clinic, with the goal of educating, treating, and empowering the community.
